Bobby Hutcherson

I just downloaded from Amazon Dialogue. Released in 1965 this was Bobby’s first album as a leader. Earlier he had worked with Eric Dolphy on his Out To Lunch LP, and the same creativity and theme carries over on this music. This is my favorite album of his but I’m really into everything he’s done.

On the album: Bobby Hutcherson: Vibes, and Marimba , Andrew Hill: piano,  Joe Chambers drums, Sam Rivers woodwinds, Freddie Hubbard trumpet, Richard Davis bass.

Andrew Hill composed (Catta, Les Noir Marchant, Ghetto Lights, and Jasper). Joe Chambers pieces were (Idle While and Dialogue).
